There are plenty of opportunities locally for learning something new and being pampered locally. From yoga to massage, bread making to foraging, and bushcraft to outdoor adventure courses:

Sourdough bread making - During in your stay here Matt can teach you to make sourdough bread, guiding you through the different stages and sending you off with a loaf and sourdough starter so you can carry on baking at home. Pre-booking is essential – contact us to arrange before your stay.

Foraging with Forage Fine Foods /

Liz Knight creates the most wonderful blends of flavours from foraged ingredients (available to buy here from the Foraged Mini-Bar or the local shop in Longtown) - and she can runs foraging courses, and by arrangement can lead a session just for you (pre-booking is essential).

Yoga and Reflexology -

Just over the fields is a fantastic yoga barn with daytime and evening classes, as well as occasional full days of yoga and private lessons. Reflexology appointments are also available. Live music and pop-up opera events also take place here!

Bush Craft and Woodland Skills with Woodlands Edge /

Simon, based in Longtown, runs courses and private sessions (which can be on-site). From family Bush Craft/Woodland Skills Days, Forest Children’s Parties, Outdoor Cooking to Spoon Carving and Woodland Craft Workshops.

Green Woodworking and Woodcraft at Llanvihangel Crucorney /

The Woodland Group of the Crucorney Environmental Group, based at a woodland at Llanvihangel Court, offer green wood-working and wood craft courses, from chair making to spoon carving.

Outdoor Adventure Courses at Longtown Outdoor Centre
