A different way to stay…

This year we have enjoyed hosting our friend Cerrian as a farm volunteer. She has worked with us on tasks in the poly tunnel and growing area. We provide somewhere to relax and sleep for the week, as well as meals. It has worked really well and is something we’d like to do more of.

So we have officially joined WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms) and are planning to organise a few weeks over the autumn and winter for others to join us. Usually it involves a few hours work in the morning and then a few more hours in the afternoon, working with supervision for example on weeding, log stacking, picking apples, juicing, bramble clearing… the list is quite endless, but it’ll be done with lightness and fun. You’ll work hard, be well fed on simple tasty food, and have time to enjoy resting on the land and sitting around a fire. For our planned volunteer sessions accommodation will be using The Barn, and, weather dependent, a bell tent.

If that sounds like something you or someone you know may like to join us in please do get in touch. The first dates are 1-5 October.
